Who We Are
My Personal Hair Journey
I started creating my own skin and body products while in college. I found it hard to find the right products for my daughter and myself that we wouldn't have allergic reactions to. I found that many of the lotions, creams, and conditioners had products that were stripping our natural oils and actually causing hair loss.
I offer all my products with the flexibility to change my formulation to exclude an ingredient(we must use preservatives) if requested by a customer.
I make all of my shampoos and conditioners sulfate and silicone-free.
A couple of most common ingredients:
-Behentrimonium Methosulfate (Non-Sulfate Derived From Rapeseed Oil) is used in many of my products, it is not a sulfate and is an active conditioning ingredient for skin and hair. It is referred to as BTMS for many product listings.
-Cetearyl alcohol is a flaky, waxy, white solid that is a combination of cetyl and stearyl alcohols, which occur naturally in plants and animals.
-Cetyl and stearyl alcohols are often derived from coconut, palm, corn, or soy vegetable oil, typically from coconut palm trees, palm trees, corn plants, or soy plants. Not only is it considered safe and non-toxic for use on the skin and hair, but it's also not drying or irritating like other types of alcohol. Due to its chemical structure, Cetearyl alcohol is even permitted by the FDA as an ingredient in products labeled “alcohol-free."
